With thousands of backlinks pointing to your website, you can get it ranked higher on search engines and increase traffic to your site significantly. It’s not enough to just have quality backlinks though – these links need to be from high authority sites in order to really push your rankings up and help you achieve more success online. So what are some proven techniques you can use to get high quality backlinks? Keep reading this article to find out!
How to Create High Quality Backlink From High Authority Site & Get More Traffic on your Website
Despite multiple algorithm modifications, link building remains one of the most powerful search engine ranking signals.
However, most of our link-building efforts consist of commenting on blogs on the same subject ("nofollow" backlinks with no link juice) or providing guest pieces to simply boast concerning the sites where our work has been published (under strict scrutiny by Google).
However, if you want to increase your site's authority and rank higher than your competitors in search engine result pages (SERPs), you must produce authority backlinks on a constant basis. In other words, you must employ successful link-building strategies that provide results.

1. Publish Evergreen Content
Natural links (also referred to as editorial links) are indeed the type of links Google likes.
This comment from Matt Cutts, former head of Google Web Spam, is from 2009, and it is still as important now as it was then:

Do you want to learn how to build connections naturally? Create evergreen content.
Evergreen content is content that retains its relevance over time. Unlike news stories and posts on popular subjects (for example, Fortnite, and Pokemon Go), evergreen posts continue to give value to readers long after the content was initially published.
Evergreen content not only ranks higher on Google but also receives a large number of backlinks. To put it another way, evergreen content is link-worthy content. This is the kind of information that garners editorial links.
Evergreen posts are similarly difficult to outrank in search results.
Ahrefs wrote a detailed essay on "evergreen content" in which they describe how tough it is to outrank Moz's Beginning's Book to SEO for beginner SEO queries due to the massive quantity of backlinks the guide has accumulated over time.

| moz |
So, how do you produce evergreen content? Take the following three steps:
- Discover keywords with a high search volume - Use Semrush's Keyword Magic tool (or any other keyword research tool) to find keywords with high search traffic. Check that the keywords you've chosen aren't seasonal and have had steady high search traffic in the previous few months.
- Create 10x content - Once you've discovered the keywords you want to target in your article, you must ensure that your content is 10 times better than the top ranking search result for the keywords. This type of content is known as 10x content in the SEO world. If your post is just marginally better (1x or 2x better) than the top-ranking post, it has a good possibility of being outranked. However, when you post content that is 10x better, such as Moz's Beginner's Guide to SEO, it is difficult for your rivals to surpass you in the SERPs.
- Relaunch and refresh - Just because a post is evergreen and is in the top three search results does not ensure that it will remain such in the long run. Organic traffic may decline with time, and the capacity to build connections naturally may deteriorate. To remain relevant, you must assess your material and update it with new insights. When I observe a decline in organic traffic, I maintain updating and relaunching top-ranking content on my blog. And you should do the same for your evergreen content to keep them at the top of the SERPs.
What's the bottom line? To generate high-quality natural links, produce evergreen blog entries that remain relevant long after they've been published.

2. Steal Your Competitors’ Backlinks
In certain circumstances, your evergreen content may not be able to automatically produce authoritative links, or if it does, it may take a long time.
Without backlinks, you may be able to rank on page one for your target keywords, but reaching the coveted top three positions on Google would be difficult. As a result, if you want to outrank your competition in SERPs, you must steal their greatest backlinks.
This may be accomplished through a combination of competitive analysis and blogger outreach. Here's a basic rundown on how to proceed:
- First, look at the top three search results for your desired keyword words. You may accomplish this by running a fast Google search, but because Google rankings change frequently, I'd recommend using an SEO tool like Semrush or Ahrefs to determine if these pages have regularly been on top for the previous 4-6 months.
- Second, you must create material that is as detailed and extensive, if not more so, than your organic competitors'. Create content that is ten times better than the top-ranking post for your target keyword words, as previously stated. Add your own distinct thoughts and viewpoint to make it as linkable as possible. Make the piece a go-to reference for your readers on that particular issue.
- Third, identify your rivals' backlinks, that is, the backlinks pointing to the top three ranking sites for your target keywords. This information is available through Semrush's Backlink Analytics service.
To gain full access to Semrush Pro, sign up for a 1-month free trial here
- Log in to your Semrush dashboard, go to Backlink Analytics, and enter one of your rivals' URLs:
- The entire number of referring domains and backlinks pointing to your competitor's URL will be displayed. To examine the URLs that are connecting to your competitor's page, click on the number of backlinks. You may limit this list by only including "dofollow" and "text" links, then ranking the domains by Authority Score (Semrush's version of domain authority score):
- Make a spreadsheet with all of the URLs that might be possible backlinks to your content. Ignore any URLs with a low Authority Score. Rep the previous steps for the remaining two rival URLs.
- Once your spreadsheet of link prospects is complete, launch an email outreach campaign by sending tailored emails to each publication/blogger that has linked to your rivals. Use a program like FindThatLead or NinjaOutreach to get their email addresses.
- Make sure to highlight what makes your material distinctive in your email and explain reasons why you feel your piece deserves a link back. You can use any of these blogger outreach tools for this specific assignment.

Not all of the websites you've contacted will react positively to your email. But don't be discouraged. You should soon be rewarded for your efforts with some high-quality backlinks if your content is link-worthy and you've offered persuasive arguments in your email to link back to your material.

3. Build Backlinks with Infographics
Infographics are popular not just on social media sites like Pinterest and Reddit. They may also dramatically boost your SEO and increase site traffic.
For example, websites that offer infographics enjoy a 12 percent increase in traffic compared to sites that do not.
However, most people disregard infographics because they incorrectly believe that designing one takes a lot of time and effort, or that it is an expensive process to outsource.
The reality is that infographics are really successful at obtaining high-quality backlinks for free.
You don't even need to be a designer. You can make sophisticated infographics in minutes using free online design tools like Canva, Venngage, and Piktochart.
Another option is to outsource the creation of attractive infographics by employing expert designers on sites like Fiverr, Upwork, or, if you have a larger budget, Design Pickle.
When your infographic is complete, it's time to advertise it. Take the following steps:
1. Submit your infographic to websites that accept infographics.
Here is a list of websites where you may submit your infographics (both free and paid). I've also included the domain authority of each of these sites to indicate the worth of each backlink you'll receive, so you can prioritize your efforts accordingly:
- Visual.ly (DA – 78).
- Cool Infographics (DA – 60).
- Infographic Journal (DA – 55).
- Graphs.net (DA – 54).
- Submit Infographics (DA – 46).
- InfographicBee (DA – 27).
Check out 40 Infographic Submission Sites to Promote Your Infographic for additional infographic submission sites and Get Backlinks.
2. Contact blogs in your niche and offer them the infographic as a free guest post.
The following stage is to find bloggers and influencers in your niche. You may accomplish this by utilizing a tool such as Buzzsumo or any of the blogger outreach tools list. Once you've found the bloggers, send them an email reminding them about your new infographic and how it might complement the material they've generated on the same subject. Offer to produce a unique summary for the infographic if necessary.
Everyone appreciates well-designed, informative infographics, and half of the sites you contact will gladly accept your infographic for inclusion in one of their pieces.
3. Create an embed code for your infographic using Siege Media's Embed Code Generator.
You can produce embed codes for your infographic using Siege Media's Embed Code Generator. Once the code has been produced, just copy and paste it below your infographic.

4. Use Reverse Image Search to Build Backlinks
If you have a lot of visual material on your site (infographics, screenshots, charts, and so on), there's a good chance that someone else is exploiting your photographs without giving correct link acknowledgment.
Fortunately, there is a simple solution that will result in a backlink. Simply follow these steps:
Step 1: Create a new Google Sheet and include the URLs for all of your site's important graphic assets.
Step 2: Search Google Image Search for websites that are utilizing your photographs without credit. Enter the Image URL into the Google search box, then click 'Search by Image' to see all the websites that use your image under the "Pages that include matching images" part of the search.
Determine which of these sites is not crediting you for the photograph.
Step 3: Send an email to the site owner seeking credit for utilizing your photograph on their site.
You can use the following email template:
Hello [Name],
I'm [Your Name] from [Your Website].
I noticed you utilized one of my photographs in your post: [insert link to the article here].
However, there is no connection back to my website.
I'd be grateful if you could provide a link to my website underneath the photograph.
The image was obtained from the following link: [put your blog article URL here]
Thanks,
[Your Surname]
In most circumstances, the site owners will respond quickly and positively. And you've just earned yourself a contextual backlink.
5. Create Interactive Content
Quizzes, polls, and calculators are popular forms of interactive material on the Internet these days. Buzzfeed demonstrates this tendency more than any other outlet. Buzzfeed's crew develops 7.8 quizzes every day on average, and 96 percent of users who begin Buzzfeed quizzes complete them.

Quizzes are not only popular with people, but they also create a large number of authority backlinks. For example, the most popular Buzzfeed question, "What City Should You Actually Live In?" has received over 1,500 backlinks to date, including connections from media such as the Washington Post, TechCrunch, Forbes, Fast Company, and many more.

6. Start Your Own Podcast
Being invited as a special guest on any of the prominent podcasts in your field might help you boost your link profile. That is really effective. An even better link-building method is to start your own podcast.
Take a look at it! If you have your own podcast, you will have more creative control over your content; you will save time sending outreach emails to podcasters in your niche and waiting for a response; and, most importantly, podcasting is fun and allows you to build your own personal brand and showcase your expertise.
It's now easier than ever to start your own podcast thanks to free applications like Anchor. In fact, you may begin filming an episode with nothing more than your smartphone. However, if you're serious about podcasting, I recommend investing in a nice microphone.

If you've recently found your firm, there are several startup directories to which you might submit your website. BetaList, a startup directory focused primarily on early-stage internet firms, is one of the most popular. The submission is free, but you must pay a nominal charge to accelerate the process and ensure your business gets featured. You may see how they evaluate companies by reviewing their submission criteria here.
Even if your firm is ineligible for submission to BetaList, there are a plethora of other startup directories with high DA that will accept your submission. Ninja Outreach has prepared a list of 100 startup directories.
9. Build Profile Links
Profile link building is the practice of signing up on websites where individuals may establish a public profile and contribute a link to their website.
Several websites that value an active community allow you to build a public profile with connections to your website and social media. Websites such as Kickstarter, Moz, Semrush, and Triberr are a few examples.
Refer to Monitor Backlinks' in-depth guide for further suggestions and insights into this link development technique.
10. Discover Backlinks from the "Best of" Blog Posts
This strategy of obtaining backlinks was inspired by Brian Dean of Backlinko and is quite efficient.
What you must do is as follows:
Step 1: On Google, enter the following search terms.
- “Best (TOPIC) Blog Year”
- “(TOPIC) blogs to read”
- “My Favorite (TOPIC) blogs”
Any of the following searches will provide a list of the "best of" blogs on your chosen topic.

Step 2: Make a new Google Doc and include links to any high-quality blogs from which you'd like to obtain a backlink. Take down the email addresses of the blogs you intend to contact. In most situations, they may be found in the contact area. If not, utilize the Ninja Outreach Chrome Extension to locate their contact information.
Step 3: Send an email to these sites with a link to your article and ask if they may include it in one of their weekly/monthly roundup pieces.
You can contact the bloggers using the email template provided below:
Hello [Name],
I also operate the blog [Your Blog], and we just released a large guide on [Subject of Your Blog Post] today. I thought I'd contact out since I believe it would be a wonderful fit for your roundup posts.
The following is a link to the guide: [Your Post Address]
No worries if it's not a good fit; I'll still be a regular reader!
Thanks,
[Your Name]
Many of these sites will let you leave a remark with a link to your website.
One of the simplest and quickest ways to obtain a backlink is to leave intelligent comments on any of the articles on these sites that you believe are worthy of a link. Make sure that your remark is THOUGHTFUL. Instead of saying, "Great article," think of inventive ways to express your appreciation for the information the author has offered in the piece. You may even pose a question.
However, you may believe that there are sites that simply do not allow you to offer a link to your website. They may monitor and control their comments using the Facebook comment system or Disqus.
In such circumstances, email outreach is the most effective strategy to obtain backlinks. Though it requires some effort, the backlinks you will eventually acquire for your site will be well worth your time and effort.
11. Submit Your Site to Blog Aggregators
Blog Aggregators are websites that list blogs from various businesses. AllTop, Blogarama, and BlogEngage are a few examples.
![]() |
| Submit Your Site to Blog Aggregators To Get High Quality Backlink |
Though they no longer have as much link juice as they once did, you may still obtain a good quantity of referral traffic from these blogs.
Most blog aggregators will provide you with high-quality dofollow backlinks for free if you follow three simple steps:
- Please submit your website (in most cases, the RSS feed of your blog).
- Add a specific HTML code to your site to prove your ownership.
- Allow the blog aggregator time to examine your site.
When it is accepted, you will be given your own page on the blog aggregator, which will include a list of all your posts.
Here is a comprehensive list of blog directories/aggregators to which you may submit your site.
12. Publish Your Content on Medium and LinkedIn
![]() |
| Publish Your Content on Medium and LinkedIn to get high quality backlinks |
Yes, the links on Medium and LinkedIn are "nofollow," but it doesn't make them useless. Nofollow links can raise awareness, boost traffic, and eventually lead to dofollow backlinks. If you have a new website, the increased exposure and traffic might be quite beneficial.
Nicole Kohler's Moz post presents a compelling argument for employing and emphasizing nofollow backlinks. Nicole outlines the significance of nofollow backlinks in her essay "The Hidden Power of Nofollow Links" as follows:
"At its essence, a link is intended to raise the notice of something on another page." Nofollow links continue to raise awareness as long as they are noticed. They are not required to be followed. They most likely don't even need to be clicked! They only need to be seen."
With this in mind, begin syndicating your material on Medium and LinkedIn (through LinkedIn Publishing) to reach a whole new audience. Even better if you can generate native content for these platforms. But at the absolute least, you could reproduce some of your most popular pieces on these two sites to increase the reach and exposure of your material.
13. Link Roundups
There are several high-quality blogs that provide link roundups. Weekly or monthly blog postings that link to exceptional material in their respective niches are known as link roundups.
This agency blog used to present a weekly compilation of social media news, dubbed 'This Week in Social Media.' These articles are used to feature the headlines of all the top social media news items in a particular week, as well as a link to the source beneath each headline to verify the news story.

| high-quality blogs that provide link roundups - High Quality Backlink |
Similar roundups will be found on blogs in your niche as well.
This is how it works:
- The first thing you should do is look for link roundups in your field. Make use of the following search terms:
- "your keyword" + "roundup of links"
- “your keyword” + roundup.
- "best of" followed by "your keyword."
- "this week" + "your keyword"
- Once you've identified a site that you'd like to target for backlinks, pitch your content to the blog's owner. You may use the script below:
Hey [Name],
[Your Name] from [Your Blog URL].
I know you like to produce collection articles about anything [TOPIC], so I thought I'd give you a couple of my recent ones. If you could add these stories in your monthly compilation, I'd be grateful.

Simply sit back and wait for the other person to answer. If your article is a good fit for the blog's roundup, you'll obtain a high-quality backlink.
14. Create a Crunchbase Account

While Crunchbase is an excellent resource for connecting with folks who share similar interests, it is also an excellent resource for obtaining a high-quality backlink for your website.

15. Use Brian Dean’s Moving Man Method
Another method I learnt from one of Brian Dean's posts that I've found quite useful.
The Moving Man Method works as follows:
Step 1: Look for sites in your niche that have either closed or changed their names and URLs.
Step 2: Look for sites that are linked to the old URL.
Step 3: Contact these sites and inform them of the broken link.
To further understand this method, consider Moz, a prominent SEO tool maintained by SEO Guru Rand Fishkin. However, Moz used to work as an SEO agency called SEOMoz. As a result, the URL was changed from seomoz.org to Moz.com.
Yes, visiting seomoz.org goes to moz.com. As a result, while the links utilized by sites referring to seomoz.org are not broken, they are out of date. This is due to the fact that the link connects to the old URL and the anchor text contains the previous brand name.
As you may have guessed, this is a tremendous opportunity for folks who operate SEO/Marketing blogs to reach out to sites that still use the seomoz.org link in their content. And there are other websites that do exactly that.
To make this method work for you, keep an eye out for sites that are rebranding or altering their identities. Check PRWeb to discover if any businesses in your industry have recently been renamed. Use the search term "your keyword" + rebrands." Check Google News for similar results.
Once you've identified a site that has rebranded or changed its URL, contact sites that are still utilizing the previous URL in their content. Simply copy the URL and put it into your preferred backlink checking tool (I recommend Ahrefs). There are many of sites that still connect to the outdated resource.
The final step in the Moving Man Method is to contact these sites and inform them of the outdated link in their article. Then make a gentle request that they add your link to their site.

16. Create and Optimize Your About.me Page
In just a few minutes, you can create your own one-page website with About.me. Create an About.me profile, insert a link to your blog in the 'Spotlight Button' area, and include more links in your bio to easily obtain a dofollow backlink for your site.
With an About.me profile, you can receive an authoritative backlink (DA of 92) in less than five minutes.

| Scoop.it Backlinks - gain high-quality "nofollow" backlinks to increase referral traffic |
Scoop. It is a website where users may gather their favorite web material into a magazine style.
It's also a great site to gain high-quality "nofollow" backlinks to increase referral traffic. So, how can you obtain backlinks on Scoop.it? It's actually fairly straightforward.
An active Scoop. It user frequently curates magazines with hundreds of followers. This implies that your material might be seen by hundreds of individuals. To persuade readers to share your material in their Scoop.it magazine, follow these two basic steps:
- Step 1: Conduct a search on the subject of your material. Consider social media marketing. Find users who have a large number of followers and views on their publications.
- Step 2: Use Scoop.it's 'suggest' tool to pitch your content to these folks. You may share the same material with 5 individuals in a day, and roughly half of them will share it with their network.
19. Provide Testimonials
Consider providing a testimonial for a product that you genuinely like using. All businesses like displaying client testimonials on their home page or on a separate page.
Once you've written the testimonial, be sure you notify them that they may use it on their home page or testimonials page. And here are some Serpstat testimonials from their testimonials page
20. Link Reclamation
Link reclamation is easy and effective. This is how it works:
- First, you look for mentions of your brand that do not include a link to your website.
- Then you send the individual an email with a nice reminder to include the link.
It's that easy, and it usually works. Here's how to go about regaining your link:
1. Use Buzzsumo to find unlinked mentions.
Unlinked mentions of your brand can be found using a programme like Buzzsumo. Set up a Buzzsumo content alert for your brand or domain so that you receive an email every time someone mentions your brand.
2. Determine whether the site has linked back to yours.
Fantastic if they have connected back to your site! If not, go to step 3.
3. Make contact and obtain your connection
Send them a nice reminder via email. You may use the following script:
Hello, [NAME].
I just wanted to say "thank you" for mentioning [your brand] in your article: [Insert link to the article]
We are quite grateful.
I'm writing to ask if you may include a link to our website. People would be able to discover us quickly when reading your content.
In any case, thanks for the mention, and keep up the good work!
Thanks,

A broken link refers to a page on a website that has since been relocated or removed. In other words, these are the pages that get a 404 error.
Broken link building requires some effort, but it is a secure technique to develop new, high-quality backlinks for your site.
What you must do is as follows:
- Find broken links from a site you wish to get a backlink from using programmes like Check My Links or Broken Link Checker.
- Once you've discovered the broken links, contact the site's owner and inform him about them.
- Share relevant site links that the site owner might utilize to repair broken links.
Voila! You've earned a high-quality backlink.
